DRP & THE WITCHES ON MYSPACE! [13 Dec 2005|05:38pm]

[ mood | creative ]

Wanna hear what David's new solo material sounds like? Then get on over to Myspace!

You can hear "St. David of the Bleeding Heart" and see the video for "Tears of Black Glitter" exclusively on MySpace! They are both really good songs and remind me of early T. Rex ("the bongo days"). It also has a little biography on the page which says the album will be released in January 2006 on Bohemia Records.

Enjoy - http://www.myspace.com/davidryderprangleyandthewitches

Thanx and Spanks,
Mr. God

(from the official RACHEL STAMP site)

Will Crewdson has been working with with Johnette Napolitano of Concrete Blonde. Check out their side project, Catfish Scar at http://www.myspace.com/catfishscar

The track "Scarred" is really cool. I like it a lot!

I'm a big Stamp whore currently on holiday in London from Australia and I'm looking for anyone who wants to come to Hanky Panky Cabaret with me this Friday night.

Don't know what HP Cabaret is?

David R-P is a regular performer, along with plenty of other arty-London-underground personalities...Dickon Edwards, Xavior from DexDexTer, etc.

And it's free! Which not much in this city is.

So if you're 18+ and interested, let me know :)

Taking time out from the recording of his forthcoming solo album, David Ryder-Prangley answers your questions. Picking apart such thrilling topics as the status of Rachel Stamp & the DVD, his solo album, producing other bands, thoughts on donner kebabs and just “who the flying funk are these Witches he’s on about?” Roll up and take your seats for a rather interesting insight into the world of DRP... READ IT NOW: http://www.angelfire.com/freak/rachelstamp/davidinterview2005.html

Thanks a lot to all who sent in their questions for the interview! Those of you who didn't get their questions asked this time can bet their ass they will be included in the next interview!!

Thanx and Spanks,

New Downloads! [03 Jul 2005|04:06pm]

[ mood | artistic ]

Hey there!

I just uploaded some new downloads for you all to enjoy. There are some tracks from Rachel Stamp's previous albums (including "Metallic Peach" for all those who haven't heard it) and 2 rare tracks in the form of "Spank (Live at the London Astoria)" & "2501 Astral Drive".
Download and enjoy @ http://www.rachelstamp.tk

Rachel Stamp are also on a new compilation created by the fine people of http://www.screamingtarts.com Other bands that are on there include Sack Trick (doing a great cover of the KISS classic, "Almost Human"), Antiproduct, Kinesis and loads more. It's really good.

So that's all for now,
Thanx and Spanks

RIGHT HERE: http://www.rocknrolltestimonial.com/Photos.htm {scroll down a wee bit}

I have to say, DRP has a cool new bass and it looks like Belle was back on drums! Did anyone go? I heard they played a "greatest hits" set.

Well, hopefully the DVD and new album aren't too far away from our eager little hands... ;-)

<<DVD On The Way!>>

The Stamp will be making a special DVD compilation of promos, live and TV appearances available for your eyes only very soon. Watch this space!

<<See The Stamp In London Next Month>>

Rachel Stamp are privileged to have been asked to play the Rock'n'Roll Testimonial gig in Camden Town on the 10th of May. The gig has been organized as a benefit for the family of Theresa Brilli who died recently of cancer. Theresa's husband, Tony Wilson (formerly of Freaks of Desire) was very involved with the Stamp in the early days co-producing tracks. Theresa herself was very involved in the music industry and will be sorely missed. There are also gigs taking place for the same cause in the US featuring Outkast, The Allman Brothers, Cheap Trick, Simply Red, AC/DC and Cyndi Lauper.

The gig will take place on 10th May at Colour, 20 - 22 Inverness Street, London

Keep checking http://www.rocknrolltestimonial.com for more details on other acts and ticket availability.

Who will be attending the gig then??

Thanx and Spanks,
